CCGrow is an online retailer of commericial growing supplies. Based in Denver, their clients include some of the largest cannibis grows in the country. Along with my Mike Escalante, my partner at Threshold Labs we've helped them build a scalable eccommerce business. Beyond all the table stakes of a great online presence, over the course of this project we have helped craft a process and toolset that allows them to handle the needs of both large commercial clients and at home consumers.
How It's Grown
CCGrow started as a small retail gardening store in north Denver. We reached out to them to help them expand their burgeoning commercial growing business online. Over the fall of of 2016, we built out a WooCommerce store, with a heavily customized theme to support their existing customer base. Now our sights have turned to building convenience features for their commercial customers, with features like auto-ordering for nutrients and light bulbs.
Suppliers, Suppliers, Suppliers
One of the biggest challenges with this site was constantly updating the set of over 15,000 product sets. The client challenged us to not only import from multiple suppliers, but to filter out duplicate product sets when not unique identifier was readily available, as well as sourcing the best supplier for a given product on a given day.
